Janice Giannini
Janice brings 25 years of corporate executive expertise from General Electric, Lockheed Martin and Arbitron to Paradigm Associates. Identified early on as a "fast tracker", she has had P&L responsibility spanning multiple functional areas and disciplines. Her wide-ranging Director level assignments have encompassed program management, global sourcing, information technology, systems engineering, and corporate ethics. Prior to joining Paradigm, Janice served as CIO in two publicly held firms.
Upon meeting Janice, you'll immediately identify why she has been successful across many business sectors throughout her career. She seamlessly mixes intelligence, intensity, a focus on the customer, and the ability to visualize the "big picture" with her ability to take big problems and break them into bite-size actionable elements. This makes her an excellent executive coach. Janice has consistently taken on those challenges that others chose to run from. This tenacity has resulted in huge organizational successes and multi-million dollar savings.
While at GE, she turned around a $300 million dollar business unit's processes and culture from being reactive and parochial to proactive and strategic. In order to deliver outstanding business results, Janice created high performance teams and challenged them with highly motivating opportunities. Within very tight timeframes, the cost of doing business was cut in half, operating losses were reversed. While at Lockheed Martin, she established a results driven technology allocation strategy which ultimately freed up financial, technical and human resources to enable what is now a billion-dollar enterprise.
Immediately prior to joining Paradigm, Janice was EVP/CIO of Arbitron; a global information media company best known for its radio listener ratings. As an executive officer, she helped guide the company through a reverse spin, thus establishing itself as a separate company on the NYSE.
Janice is an accomplished public speaker with experience in a wide variety of business sectors and venues. She has addressed forums ranging from small groups to approximately one thousand participants. Her topics typically reflect her pragmatic outlook and style, ranging from aligning strategy with operations, to planning and motivation for execution excellence.
Educationally, Janice has both a B.S and M.S in Applied Mathematics from Drexel University. She has continued her professional development in areas such as Negotiating Skills (Kellogg) and International Protocol as well as through offerings at the General Electric Management Institute and by Lockheed Martin (Sector Executive Leadership Course-Emory University Goizueda Business School).
Janice has served on Boards of Directors for several non-profit educational institutions focused on adult literacy and post secondary education. Currently Janice serves on the Advisory Board for the Drexel University College of Arts and Sciences as well as SafeTSpace, a company focused on consumer identity management. Janice is a member of the Greater Philadelphia (PA) Chamber of Commerce. On a personal note, she is an accomplished ballroom dancer who regularly performs in showcases/exhibition programs, and enjoys walking and reading.
